83:1
وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ ﴿١﴾
Woe to those who give less,
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In (the) name (of) Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
83:2
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ ﴿٢﴾
Those who when they take a measure from the people, they take in full,
83:3
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ ﴿٣﴾
But when they give by measure (to) them or they weigh (for) them they give less.
83:4
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ ﴿٤﴾
Do not think those that they (will be) resurrected,
83:5
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿٥﴾
For a Day Great,
83:6
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿٦﴾
(The) Day will stand mankind before (the) Lord (of) the worlds?
83:7
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ ﴿٧﴾
Nay! Indeed, (the) record (of) the wicked (is) surely in Sijjin.
83:8
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ ﴿٨﴾
And what can make you know what (is) Sijjin?
83:9
كِتَـٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ﴿٩﴾
A book written.
83:10
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿١٠﴾
Woe that Day to the deniers,
83:11
ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿١١﴾
Those who deny (the) Day (of) the Judgment.
83:12
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ﴿١٢﴾
And not can deny [of] it except every transgressor sinful.
83:13
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَـٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٣﴾
When are recited to him Our Verses, he says, "Stories (of) the former (people)."
83:14
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾
Nay! But, (the) stain has covered [over] their hearts (for) what they used to earn.
83:15
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ ﴿١٥﴾
Nay! Indeed, they from their Lord that Day surely will be partitioned.
83:16
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٦﴾
Then indeed, they (surely) will burn (in) the Hellfire.
83:17
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٧﴾
Then it will be said, "This (is) what you used to [of it] deny."
83:18
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ ﴿١٨﴾
Nay! Indeed, (the) record (of) the righteous (will be) surely in Illiyin.
83:19
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ ﴿١٩﴾
And what can make you know what (is) Illiyun?
83:20
كِتَـٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ﴿٢٠﴾
A book written,
83:21
يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢١﴾
Witness it those brought near.
83:22
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ ﴿٢٢﴾
Indeed, the righteous (will be) surely in bliss,
83:23
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾
On thrones observing.
83:24
تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿٢٤﴾
You will recognize in their faces (the) radiance (of) bliss.
83:25
يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ ﴿٢٥﴾
They will be given to drink of a pure wine sealed,
83:26
خِتَـٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾
Its seal (will be of) musk. And for that let aspire the aspirers.
83:27
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ ﴿٢٧﴾
And its mixture (is) of Tasneem,
83:28
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾
A spring, will drink from it, those brought near.
83:29
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ ﴿٢٩﴾
Indeed, those who committed crimes used to at those who believed laugh.
83:30
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾
And when they passed by them, they winked at one another.
83:31
وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ ﴿٣١﴾
And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
83:32
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ ﴿٣٢﴾
And when they saw them, they said, "Indeed, these surely have gone astray."
83:33
وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَـٰفِظِينَ ﴿٣٣﴾
But not they had been sent over them (as) guardians.
83:34
فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ ﴿٣٤﴾
So today those who believed - at the disbelievers they will laugh,
83:35
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾
On the thrones observing.
83:36
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾
Have (not) been rewarded the disbelievers (for) what they used to do?
